Appointments and Costs

If you are unsure as to whether Physiotherapy would be of benefit to you we are happy to discuss your problem with you and give you brief advice with no obligation.


Availability

The clinic is open 8am to 7pm weekdays and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.

Appointments are usually available within 48 hours, and often on the same day.

Please telephone the clinic to check availability.

Our reception is staffed between 9am – 5.30pm daily and we will make every effort to answer your call at other times.

If your call is not answered then please leave your contact details on our 24 hour answer phone and we will get back to you as soon as possible.


Booking an Appointment

You are free to consult us without the need of a referral from a doctor.

However, you may need one if you are using Private Medical Insurance to pay for your treatment. Please check the details of your policy.

On average appointments are approximately 40 – 45 minutes duration, this may be slightly more or less depending upon the nature of your problem.

Your first appointment will be for an Initial Assessment where we will take some history regarding your problem and then physically assess you to determine the nature of the problem. Whenever possible we will also start treatment with you as well, however this may not always be appropriate.


Cancellations and Non Attendance

We appreciate that on occasion situations change unexpectedly.

If you need to cancel or change an appointment then please give us as much notice as possible.

Please Note: If you fail to attend for an appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice we reserve the right to still charge you.


Charges (Valid until 30th June 2020)

Self Payment

If you are paying for treatment yourself:

Initial Assessment: £40
Following Treatment Session: £40

This also applies if you are using a health scheme such as Westfield, HSA, SimplyHealth etc where you pay for your treatment and then reclaim from them.


Private Medical Insurance

We are recognised by all the major PMI providers such as BUPA, AXA PPP, Aviva, WPA, Prudential etc.

Please check the details of your policy regarding the referral process as well as the level of your cover and any policy excess applied.

We will require your Membership details and any Authorisation numbers in order to be able to invoice the relevant company directly.

Costs vary slightly between providers but work out at approximately £45 per session on average.

Please note that you will be responsible for any amount not paid by your PMI provider.


Third Party Referral

You may be referred to us by a third party such as your work or a Solicitor following a personal injury claim.

If this is so and they are responsible for paying for your treatment then we will require written confirmation of this along with exact details of where to send our invoice to.

Such cases will be charged at £45 per session.


Payment

Our preferred method of payment is by Debit Card, at the time of your appointment.

We also accept all major Credit Cards (except American Express), Cash and Cheques.

Please note that we are unable to accept Card payments over the telephone, however electronic banking or online payments can be made, please see our Payments page for details.

If we invoice you for your treatment then our terms are strictly 14 days from date of invoice.
Any accounts not fully settled in this period will be subject to 5% interest per calendar month.
