Do I Need To Be referred By a Doctor?
No, you can consult us without having a doctors referral. However, if you are using private medical insurance you may need to see your GP first.

Can I Use My Private Medical Insurance?
The clinic is recognised by all the main medical insurance companies, e.g. BUPA, AXA PPP, Norwich Union, Westfield etc. Please check your policy for details of your cover and claims procedure.

What Will Happen On My First Visit?
If you are pregnant or have a cardiac pacemaker fitted please inform the physiotherapist BEFORE you enter the treatment area.

Please inform someone at reception of your arrival and collect a car parking permit if necessary.

After taking a few personal details the Physiotherapist will ask you for some information regarding your current problem.

You will then be physically assessed. This may require the removal of outer clothing. It will involve certain movement and tests in order to establish the nature of your problem

Following the assessment the physiotherapist will discuss their findings with you, give you an indication of the treatment required and the likely prognosis.

How long Will I Need To Allow For The Appointment?
Please allow yourself 1 hour for your initial consultation and approximately 45 minutes for any subsequent treatment sessions, depending on the treatment required.

When is The Clinic Open?
We are open:
8am - 8pm Monday to Friday
8.30am - 2pm Saturdays

How Much Will It Cost?
Please telephone the clinic for our current charges. We reserve the right to charge for non attendance of an appointment unless 24 hours notice is given.

How Do I Book An Appointment?

How Often Will I Need To Come?
Different conditions require varying lengths of treatment. After your initial assessment your physiotherapist should be able to give you some idea as to what is necessary.

Is It Alright If Someone Comes With Me During My Appointments?
Yes, you are welcome to be accompanied during treatment if you wish.

My Child has A Problem, Can I Make An Appointment For Them?
Yes, we are happy to see any children between the ages of 5 - 16. We ask that they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst on the premises.

Where Can I Park?
FREE parking is available outside the Saltergate Social Club located in front of the Chesterfield Football Club on Saltergate.
Please ensure you are not on the Pay & Display side of this area.

The clinic is approx. 200m along Saltergate in the direction of the town centre.

If this car park is full we suggest you use the Pay & Display car parking situated around the Chesterfield Borough Council building.

How Long Will I Have To Wait Before An Appointment Is Available?
Appointments are usually available within 48 hours.
Same day appointments are often available.
